This is the website of David
Martin, a Japanese to English translator currently based in Osaka, Japan.
This site outlines the services I have
to offer as well samples of
previous
translation work.

I have over 8 years' experience
in Japanese to English translation and currently work as a freelance
translator. I hold a science degree in physics (Mount Allison University, Canada,
1997) and a diploma in engineering (Mount Allison University,
Canada, 1994), I specialize in technical and business-related
translations, though I have extensive experience
translating in other
fields.


David Martin is an
experienced translator, editor,
illustrator and published author of an illustrated bilingual children's
book (Japanese and English). He is a graduate of one of Canada’s
top undergraduate universities, Mount Allison, with an Engineering
Certificate and a Bachelor of Science Degree. David is also experienced
with computers and technology and has worked on web servers, networks and
website design and implementation. David is married to Chisako
Matsuo of Wakayama, and they have one son, James.
